Rare (DL) Play Flatter Thecowgirl Pays $23.40 + $1,979.40 Shaded Trifecta Return !!

Bob Selvin rarely finds a play he terms a (DL)...a designated longshot which could create a big exacta or trifecta payoff. He hadn't found one in months at the Hollywood Park meet...until Saturday, July 13. Flatter Thecowgirl got the DL tag and she obliged with a $23.80 win payoff (at 10/1 Bob's fair odds), but the BEST was her win created a $1,979.40 shaded trifecta payoff on a $152 investment. This filly was making her second start off about a two-month layoff, and came out of far the best previous race, but also Bob knew clearly she had FOUR best-of-the morning "back" BULLET drills on Feb. 27, Mar. 23, Apr. 20 and Apr. 27 and a second best on Feb. 2...all when there were A LOT of horses working.
