His complex computer program performs thousands of calculations on every horse involving regression, exponential time decay, non-linear functions, direct empirically derived mapping, and other stuff like that. The end result is simplicity itself - a beaten length prediction, a fair odds line to compare with actual odds, and a profitable betting strategy.

Interestingly, Nunamaker devotes a computer to work full-time using artificial intelligence to continually search his huge database (which is updated every day with past performance data) for new angles and statistical changes that will upgrade his win percentage and profit potential that will benefit his callers.
